WelcomeThe Opening Doors Diversity Project’s mission is to provide quality leadership, technical assistance, training, and education that supports all dimensions of diversity. The partnership model used is distinguished by its vision, research base, and by the safe and expansive learning opportunities it affords.
The Opening Doors Program was selected as a model for the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) due in great part to how well it addresses the construct of oppression theory and the subsequent cycle of oppression. The training… serves to best address the long-term systemic change process. Personally, I have found no better tool to accomplish this level of understanding on these issues than Opening Doors. Harvey Lineberry The partnership initiative has provided the basis for staff to take on more responsibilities and be more accountable. I am overjoyed during meetings when staff at all levels is voicing their opinions and thoughts on issues that effect this division. Not only are they expressing their thoughts, but they are listening to others without judging. This has improved the quality of our programs and results in overwhelming outcomes. Velma Smith |
